Time to leave this sinking ship
Recently i've noticed that there seems to be a reluctance, nay a lessening of will to update our blogs with the deeds of our lives. Blogs are forum for dicsussion but it seems that our little community of bloggers doesn't have very much to say. The posts get shorter and the days between each post get longer.
Are we running out of things to say? Where is that youthful spirit of optimism and eagerness that characterised our blogs in the summer of 06. Is not the point of bloggery to act as an online diary? Are we all just simply drifting apart?
There have been many moments of triumph in our blogs, posts that move you to tears or make you cry with laughter. When first i created my own online journal blogger was the first thing I logged onto when I went online.
Where are those days now?
Is is the world? Masscacres in Burma? Hezbollah shelling Israel (and Israel massacring innocent Lebenese)? The continuing controversy of the Iraq war? Continued child trafficking in China or Maddy?
Or is it the Burn?
I must admit my friends that I have felt the pinch to have felt this desire, the ongoing sense of nothingness, the overwhelming sense of a gap between our blogs, the growing atmosphere of emptiness. It all whispers but one thing..
What do we write about now?
Too this I have the answer, you write about yourselves, you write about your lives and the things you do and most importantly of all you write about what's on your minds because that's what used to bring us all here and that's what's driving us all away now.
I for one will not tolerate it, I will not tolerate strolling through this blog graveyard with my tail between my legs wondering where everyone has gone.
It is time to leave this sinking ship.
